Appears in Charles Co., Maryland as early as 1716. Origin unknown. The name "Crismond" (with the final "d") appears on records for several decades thereafter in Port Tobacco in Charles Co., Maryland.
The will of Joseph Crismond, dec'd, was filed in Charles Co., Maryland on 30 May 1727 [Carol Mitchell, "Charles Co., Md., Adm. Accounts", p. 25]. The administration was filed by Joseph Crismond (presumably the son of the deceased).
I have not traced this family, or been in contact with known/proven descendants. However, the Crismond families researched by Robert Crismond at Crismond.com might very well be descendants. His work highlights Crismond lines descending from:
