Will: dated 25 Jan 1559, proved 2 May 1560. The will of Cuthbert Smythe of Fishlake (his son) suggests that this William might have had two wives, with Thomas, John, Janet, and Agnes being the oldest children from the first wife, and Richard, Francis, Marie, Margaret and Cuthbert being children of the second wife. From wills of John and William Parke and of Sir Francis Hastings, it appears that he may have married his second wife before 1551 and that she may have been the mother to John Parke (his son-in-law by Agnes) and William Parke.
