Notes

Buried next to her sons Aaron and David. Tombstone gives birthdate 11 June 1744 and died Oct 1824. ["Cemetery Records of Williamson Co., TN" by L.G. Lynch and V.W. Hays 1969] She may be Magdalena (Mary) Young (or Jung), hypothesized by chappell@clark.net (Ross Chappell in Maryland). A Devalt Young appears in interactions with John Chrisman, and Youngs are in close interaction with John Chrisman Maryland as well as in Tennessee. Devalt Young had a daughter Maria Magdalena, for which no marriage record has been found. Census 1820, Williamson Co., TN: Mary Crisman, 000000-00110 = 1F(16-25), 1F(26-44). ?? Is this right, or are ages off one notch, because Mary would be 75y old in 1820. ____ Research: A Dewalt (or Theobald) Jung family immigrated in 1710 to the Mohawk (Schoharie) valley of New York. A good and fairly comprehensive source on this family is "The Young (Jung) Families of the Mohawk Valley:1710-1946" by Clifford M. Young, 1947, at http://www.fortklock.com/jung.htm. There is a Theobald (or Dewald) Jung and wife Maria Catharine, married bet. 1712 and 1717 and residing at New Hessberg, Schoharie Valley, NY. It appears that neither he, nor his son by the same name, could be the one found in Frederick Co. (now Caroll Co.), Maryland.
