Grandpa thinks her first name was Alice. Also he said that he thinks she had siblings by the names Ella, Jim, and Oliver. However, I may have misunderstood, because I wasn't sure whether he said that these were the siblings of Alice or siblings of Pearl (kids of Alice). He also said (on 8/29/93) that he remembers meeting a nephew of hers named Glenn Larkins. !Birthdate: Larkins Diary. Says: "Salome A. Larkins was Born August the 10th 1848". She didn't like her birthname "Salome", so she swapped the names and went by "Alice S." !Marriage(1): Larkins bible: "Salome A. Larkins and William [E or C] Avery was Marryed October the 6th AD 1867" !Marriage(1): Clackamas Co., OR marriage index: "Larkins, Salome A., [to] Avery, William C., Oct 6, 1867 [pg.] 64" [Courtesy of Sharon A. Larkins, Feb. 1996] !Death: Oregon Death Index: "[Name=]Baker, Alice S., [County=]Linn, [Date=]4/5/25, [Cert#=]85. Appears on 1850 census as Solomon, age 2, b. Indiana. That census was taken Sep 16, 1850. Appears on 1860 census as Solome A., age 11, b. Oregon. That census was taken Aug 16, 1860. The Oregon birth is more consistent with the family traveling the Oregon trail in 1847. This places his birthdate between Aug 16 and Sep 16, 1848.
