Came to Oregon about 1902. Bought a farm east of Brooks from a guy named Miller. !Died of pnemonia. His physician was in Woodburn was Dr. Gerald Smith. RAPE LAID TO REST AT BETHANY Fletcher Ellsworth Rape was born in Springfield, Illinois, December 11, 1862. He died in Woodburn February 13, 1937, at the age of 74 years 1 month and 22 days. He was married to Nancy Jane Devine December 23, 1886, near Seward, Nebraska. They came to Oregon in 1903, and for many years lived near Brooks. They came to Woodburn 10 years ago. He is survived by his widow and the following children: Frank of Hubbard, Lloyd of Silverton, Glenn of Woodburn, Mrs. Myrtle Guthrie and Mrs. Jeanne Richards of Portland; also a half brother Alvin Rape of Nebraska, and six grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held at the Ringo chapel Tuesday afternoon with Rev. John T. Myers officiateing. Mrs. Ralph C. Kleen sang Crossing the Bar and Going Home. Pallbearers were Warren Haskins, Ed Renn, Paul Sous, J.C. Wageman, Anton Juve and William Uppendahl.
