John is number 876, a son of Israel Putnam (329) and Sarah Hutchinson of Bedford, Massachusetts. He was born there April 23, 1750, and came up here shortly after the Revolution. He married Joanna Eames in Cambridge, Massachusetts March 22, 1774. He will die here into the early 1820s, his children and grandchildren forever. John will die here about 1815, Joanna in 1834.
