!Birth-Death: Essay of W. W. and Clare Chenault in the 1978 edition of the Chenault Genalogy, also in [Roger's update p. 491]. They state that the info came from tombstones which are barely legible. 1799: Abner got a land grant adjoining his father's. !Census (1800), North Carolina. Neighbors = Francis Fore and James Walker. 1804 and 1808: Abner Chenault purchased land from William Walker [Rockingham Co., NC land records, W.W. & Clare Chenault 1978] 1812: Abner moved to Indiana [Altas of Union County, Indiana, 1884]. He sent a series of powers of attorneys to Rockingham County, North Carolina (one to Abner Walker) to manage his affairs there and to buy his sister's (Susanna Fore's) interest in their father's estate, 1815. 1819 & 1820: He sold the Indiana land to William and James Ferguson respectively. [Note: Haven't found in 1850 census]
