Notes
From Leon Clark Hills' book, Vol. 2:
Pabodie (Peabody), John, born England; arrived in Plymouth as early as 1636, and was a freeman there in 1637. His grand of land in Jan., 1636, was for 10 acres on the Duxbury side, lying between the lands of William Tubs and Experience Mitchell, and from "Blew Fish River in the caste." He received other lands, and served on juries, but, apparently, led a quiet lief. He made a will dated July 16, 1649, at Duxbury, which seems to have been recorded in April 27, 1667, by one John "ffernesyde," the witness to the will. He mentions Thomas, eldest son, Francis, second son, and William, youngest son, also Annis Rouse, daughter, wife of John Rouse.
Arrived on the ship "Planter".
I have seen an unsubstantiated rumor on the net that his wife was Isabel Harper.
