She sites Salem City Records 1:109, also pp 16 & 105. on Alexis Frye's (King FGS).
It looks very plausible that she might be the one in the following census listing, 1850, Salem 3rd ward, Essex Co., Mass, roll 312, page 158, 478/751: The birth place does not agree, but the age is sure close.
Elizabeth King, 83, $11000, Mass
Lavina Holt, 56, F, Mass
Elizabeth Whipple, 26, F, Mass
Margaut Schwab, 15, F, Germany
Leads:
Mary Penttinen-King says she saw a Peter Brown in Barringon, one of the early settlers.
Lead: Mary Penttinen-King reports that her grandfather's tree states that Elizabeth (Brown) King remarried to a John Baden in 1807. No documentation yet found for this. I checked the Salem mass vital records, both marriages and deaths to the year 1849, and found no records for the surname Baden. So, if there is anything to this lead, they probably moved somewhere other than Salem, Mass.
Cathy Richards has informed me that she remarried to John Bowden on 23 Jul 1807 in Salem (VR) and they moved to Lee Plantation (later Monroe) in Maine.
Michael Stevens also wrote me with the 23 Jul 1807 Salem, Essex Co., Mass., marriage date to John Boden (1784-1858), and gave me a list of 4 children that they had and the parents of John Boden. He pointed out that the spelling of Boden may have accounted for my inability to find the record. He is a descendant of son Elias Smith Boden.
