Chaferman, 22, M, house joiner, Maine Melissa Chafermann, 24, F, Maine Sophia Chafermann, 19, F, Maine Levi L., 17, M, Farmer, Maine (I did not find him on 1810 census of Maine, NH, or Mass) Monroe Twp., Waldo Co., Maine, vital records, LDS Film 0011564, Vol. 1, pg. 44, contains the following family entry: Sparrow King, born April 21, 1798 Judeth King William King, Born November 2, 1819 Collins P. King, Born July 27, 1821 Joseph King, Born March 28, 1823 Eliza Ann King, Born April 26, 1825 Rachel B. King, Born August 27, 1826 Rachel B. King, Died February 29, 1828 Albert King, Born 1828 Then on Vol. 1, Page 19, there is this entry: Sparrow King, Born April 21st, 1798 Judith King see page 44 Adison King Born November 2d, 1819 Intention for second marriage : The following is in Monroe Twp., VR vol. 2, pg. 98: "Published Mr. Sparrow King of Monroe and Mrs. Mary Chapman of Rumford. Oct 18th 1845. G.G. Nealley town clerk." I did not see the marriage record in the marriage records, however. -------------------------- Mother appears to be a widow named Elizabeth King in 1804. Identity of parents as Sparrow and Elizabeth (Brown) King is currently a conjecture, but highly consistent and likely.
