Notes

She is not mentioned in her husband's will of 1732, and therefore is presumed to have died prior to that date. Everett Hall Pendleton (1910) states that her descendants claimed she was age 60 at her death, which would place her death date at about 1728. !Tombstone: A picture of her tombstone is at:http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~nanc/thomas%20brown/images/5000.jpg. It reads: "Brown, Ann, wife of Eleazer, and daughter of Capt. James Pendleton born 1673, died age 60." See also Charles R. Hale, "Gravestone inscriptions of the town of North Stonington, New London Co., CT", p. 64. [This tombstone was apparently erected many years after her death]
