Notes
Genealogies of New Jersey Families, from GMNJ, 1(197) says this:
"22. Matheus(4) De Decker, b. c1670, probably in Amsterdam, Holland, d. on Staten Island between 1715 and 19 May 1718; m. c.1690 to Eve ---, who survived him. He was a cooper by trade and also a member of the North Company Militia in 1715. In the census of 1706 he was listed as 36 years of age. "On 12 May 1712, Mathew Decker, cooper, and wife Eve, conveyed to John Depuy one quarter of a four-score-acre lot on Carle's Neck at Fresh Kill, bounded southwest by Barent Tison, southeast by Peter Praal and east by Lambert Garrison 20 acres plus 3 1/2 acres meadow for 80 pounds." (K.S.R.) "On 19 May 1718, Lambert Garrison conveyed to Eve Decker, widow, for 6 pounds, three acres from east of the Earl of Limerick's estate (former Gov. Dongan)." (R.C. Deeds B:478, 550, C:98, 397, K.S.R.).
Matheus(4) de Decker and wife Eve had at least nine children (K.S.R.)... Baptisms of Johannes-Abraham are recorded in D. Ref. Church on S.I. (N.J. Miss, p. 71, K.S.R.). Pieter-Abraham "were listed as children on the census, the taking of which I would place in the autumn of 1707, though it is called the census of 1706 as a rule. There was an Elizabeth on the census, listed as a child; she may have died young, as another was bap. in 1711." (K.S.R.)
