[hard to read my dad's transcription of last sentence]. Enumerated 21 June 1860. !Census (1870): U. Molalla, Clackamas Co., OR, dwelling 846: In household of Henry Austin (see dau. Mary): Larkins, Rachel, age 73, p. PA. Maiden name/Father's identity: In the 1850 census, a "Mary A. Larkins" age 6 is enumerated in the household of William and Rachel Larkins in Clackamas Co., Oregon. The IGI (Batch 8814683) lists a birth record: Mary M. Larkins b. 28 April 1844 in Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois to William and Rachel (Reed) Larkins. Except for the middle initial (which could easily be a difficulty reading handwriting), the match is exact, leading to the conclusion that these are the same people. Then the will of Jeremiah Reed (her father) names his namesake Jeremiah R. Larkins. Jeremiah R. Larkins R. Larkins is one of their oldest children.
